Once again, a huge thank you to all our donors for your generosity and also to anyone who has helped the Foundation in any way over the past months. We, and the charities that benefit from the Foundation, are hugely grateful for your continued support.
Below are some of the words of thanks we have received from those who have directly benefitted from the work of the Foundation. This would not be possible without your generosity and without further donations.

“Thank you so much for your very generous support – this will make a huge difference. We are very aware of how much the support means to our friends on the ground in Mbale region. It is clear that our partners feel enormously encouraged by the rapid and ongoing response we are able to make. Thank you for being part of it.” Catherine Taylor, Pont-Mbale

“I’m convinced in battles fought together with PONT, failure is a word of the past. Bravo you people in UK with hearts that break the scales in terms of saving humanity” Dr Gideon Wamasebu, District Health Officer, Mbale region

“I am writing to warmly thank the Jane Metson Foundation for your recent generous donations towards our urgent medical work across Africa. The Foundation’s grant may be used by our volunteer experts to carry out dental surgery for fifty seven Malagasy children. It will not only free these young children from pain but have the chance to return to school, educate themselves and lift themselves out of extreme poverty.” Amanda King, Mercy Ships UK

“Thank you so much to the Jane Metson Foundation for your recent donations towards the work here at Yeldall Manor. We really do appreciate your thoughtfulness in supporting us. Each gift that we receive helps ensure that we can continue to enable more men to tackle their drug or alcohol additions.” Sue Hedger, Yeldall Manor Christian Centre

Many of you already kindly donate via regular monthly direct debits and this is a fantastic way to support the foundation as well as you to budget your charitable giving. It allows the Foundation to plan our donations more strategically and also make additional donations to specific appeals from the charities.

Please consider making the financial sacrifice of a couple (or more!) of your favourite coffee a month by setting up a direct debit to the Foundation.

Please remember 100% of the money you donate (including any Giftaid contributions) goes directly to the selected charities.

Foundation News

We are delighted to have added a new charity to the list that the Jane Metson Foundation already supports. The Philippine Community Fund (PCF) works ‘to improve the quality of life for impoverished Filippino communities’ and we look forward to supporting them in the future.
A massive thank you in advance to Silvia Forcat for running the 2016 London Marathon in aid of the Jane Metson Foundation. What a star – particularly as she only gave birth to her son a year ago! To donate please follow this link.

Thank you to Charters school in Sunningdale for choosing the Foundation as one of their ‘House Charities for 2016’.

We are planning to continue with the successful fundraising events of last year so get yourselves ready for quiz questions, raffles, lots of tea and cake, cricket and dancing at the annual fundraising ball!

Date for the Diary (more to follow…):
Jane Metson Foundation Annual Cricket Tournament – Sat 13rd August

With our heartfelt thanks and best wishes,

The Trustees
